Why should I lie, when I can dramatize.

This is my last post about elections this year. I just want to share my sentiments.
You either voted with Barack Obama or John McCain. Your vote was monumental regardless who won. What I am noticing after we have the results is that people are either extremely happy or extremely upset. I feel what we fail to realize is that, whatever beliefs you have, they should not rest on one man. If you are a stark conservative, your conservative views can still be represented in this democratic country. At any point they can not, that is when we should check ourselves. The same goes to the most liberal person out there. The point I am trying to make is that please check your hateful sentiments if you have them, because those feelings may be more harmful to yourself and others, than any candidate winning or not winning the office.
I have had conversations with extremely close people to me. There have been shouting matches and large debates. However at the end of the day, we love each other, and respect each other for standing on our ideals. THAT….is what America is about. This country was founded on Christian principle - yes, founded on self-responsibility - yes, and it was also founded on FREEDOM. Freedom to believe, to have faith, to work, to create, to dream - as big as you want to dream. So along with the Judeo Christian ethics that this country was founded on, it was also founded on FREEDOM. Freedom of thought, faith, and to have these elements wrapped up in liberty and justice. We MUST recognize ALL the things this country was founded on. And not pick and choose what we hold close to us individually.
We all have CHOICE. Please respect each other’s choice. Despite what you feel about another man or woman’s choice, you have to respect that for that individual. Thats a humane mandate. Because if its not…. radical conflict will hugely exist. We can’t say we are walking in love or peace and then dictate when or whether that applies.
Should black people be happy. Hell yeah. Never before has it either been possible or have Americans have had the choice of a Black President. When looking at the history of this country and blacks part in that, there have been long strides. And thats something to be happy about. FOR ALL AMERICANS. (IF YOU HAVE LITTLE KNOWLEDGE OF BLACK AMERICAN HISTORY, PLEASE VISIT THE LINKS BELOW, IT IS A MUST BECAUSE ITS AMERICAN HISTORY)
As a friend of mine said:
I find myself making decisions based on my feelings all of the time….sometimes its positive, other times not. However, I treat all results as learning experiences. I believe that everything happens for a reason and sometimes we may not be clear as to what they are but if we learn to face our challenges and conquer them, it only can make us stronger.
Please watch this very intelligent video from Colin Powell on his careful choice he made and more importantly, how America needed to evolve. I love you regardless to who you voted for.

This is my commentary - written word, about my life and those who are in it, as I see it. I am just a man seeking the beautiful things in life and savoring those things with the special people that make it all worth it. I am a amateur philosopher, photographer, and pretty much amateur in anything with "pher" at the end. :)
